Nida Qafisheh

Dr. Nida Qafisheh is an Environmental Scientist and Sustainability Expert with a career spanning both academia and industry. Her work focuses on the intersection of climate change vulnerability, adaptation, and resilience as drivers for sustainable development. 

Currently, Dr. Qafisheh works as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science & Sustainability at Zayed University. Previously, she worked in the industrial sector specializing in water and wastewater. She has also pioneered the use of Artificial Intelligence to minimize environmental impacts and enhance workplace sustainability.  

She is the founder of the Environmental Club, fostering environmental awareness among students and inspiring them to adopt practices that mitigate climate change and reduce their carbon footprint towards achieving NetZero emissions.Dr. Qafisheh’ s passion is research and education in the field of Water Pollution, Indoor Air Quality, Carbon Capture, E-Waste Innovation, Sustainability and Environmental Education. She is the author and co-author of several technical publications in refereed journal and conference proceedings and editor of text books.
