
Didem Uygun is a sustainability consultant and the Founder of DU Consultancy (DU Danışmanlık), with 15+ years of professional experience in sustainability strategy, ESG reporting, social risk management, and capacity building across the private sector, global supply chains, and public institutions.
She has led and contributed to sustainability strategy development, double materiality–related assessments, ESG governance frameworks, and sustainability reporting in line with GRI, TSRS, and international good practice, supporting organizations in translating regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations into practical and implementable approaches. Her work spans sustainability reporting, climate and social risk identification, governance integration, and internal capacity strengthening through tailored training programmes.
Prior to founding DU Consultancy, she served as a Sustainability Manager at PwC Türkiye, advising corporates and public institutions on sustainability strategy, reporting alignment, and risk assessments, including the design of a national sustainability benefit programme for the Ministry of Trade. Earlier in her career, she worked for H&M Europe Production Office for nearly a decade, where she played a key role in social sustainability, human rights due diligence, supply chain risk management, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with suppliers, trade unions, and international NGOs.
She began her sustainability career at BCSD Türkiye, coordinating multi-sector working groups on climate, sustainable finance, reporting, and circular economy, and she brings strong experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder processes and translating global sustainability frameworks into local and sector-specific implementation.
She holds a MSc in Environmental Consultancy and Project Management from the University of Leeds and is fluent in English and Turkish.
