
Dr. Eng Neyara Radwan is an Associate Professor in the Industrial Management Department at Liwa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and she also serves as an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Suez Canal University in Egypt.
Over the course of more than 25 years in higher education and scientific research, she has earned two promotions to the rank of Associate Professor—first in Mechanical Engineering from Egypt and later in Industrial Engineering from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. These milestones reflect her commitment to academic excellence and her contributions as a researcher and educator.
Her career is driven by a passion for advancing knowledge in optimization, sustainability, artificial intelligence applications, and renewable energy. She focuses on addressing global challenges and bridging the gap between engineering and management disciplines. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, she strives to develop impactful solutions that support a more sustainable future.
Beyond her academic roles, she has worked extensively with leading quality accreditation bodies such as ABET, AMBA, and AACSB. During her tenure at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, she served for 10 years, as both an Assistant and Associate Professor and was appointed as the Quality Assurance Officer for MBA/EMBA and Ph.D. programs. In these positions, she ensured program excellence and alignment with international accreditation standards, contributing to a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Before joining Liwa University, she spent one year at Al Maarefa University in Saudi Arabia, where she was responsible for establishing the Industrial Engineering Department and preparing its strategic plan in anticipation of its official launch in 2024.
She is frequently invited as a keynote speaker and panelist at international conferences, where she shares her insights on engineering innovation, sustainability, and academic leadership. She has participated in more than 120 international conferences and workshops as an editor, conference secretary, keynote speaker, chairperson, advisory board member, and reviewer, experiences that reflect her dedication to fostering global dialogue and research collaboration.
She also plays an active role in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and quality assurance initiatives, helping academic programs meet global standards while mentoring the next generation of researchers and engineers.
Her commitment to international collaboration extends to organizations such as the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and the Asia Africa Development Council. Through these partnerships, she advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusive practices in science and education.
Her research interests span sustainability, renewable energy, solid waste management, recycling, optimization, and supply chain management. These areas align with her broader vision: to leverage innovative research, transformative education, and collaborative leadership to create meaningful change and contribute to a more sustainable world.
Through her work, she aims to make a lasting impact on both the academic community and society at large.
