
Yusuf completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University and went on to earn an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He later obtained a second master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Boğaziçi University. He began his career at BOTAŞ, managing mechanical maintenance processes for natural-gas storage facilities in the energy sector. He then served as a technical-risk and physical-asset-management specialist at Enerjisa Uretim, where he engaged in innovative projects involving robotic technologies and green-hydrogen applications while contributing to the company’s sustainability reporting, CDP submission, and training-focused social initiatives.
Most recently, Yusuf has been working as head of sustainability services at MEXT, where he conducts current-state sustainability analyses for companies and prepares their sustainability roadmaps. He continues to apply his expertise in energy-efficiency assessments, the development of sustainability services, business-development activities, and training. To date, he has performed sustainability assessments and roadmap studies for more than 150 enterprises with his team of varying sizes across the automotive, electronics,white-goods, textile, and food industries. Within the center’s digital factory, he has also contributed to the deployment of more than ten use cases—from producing industrial products with next-generation bioplastic materials to implementing advanced digital tools that enable high-level sustainability practices.
