Mesut Öztürk

Mesut Ozturk is an energy systems professional with a robust electromechanical foundation, a community based green hydrogen production models developer, and a proven track record in project management of complex and multinational projects.

He is currently working in Technip Energies CCC JV NFS LNG Energy Project and has taken project management roles in various international projects for reputable multinational organizations over 30 years, as follows; Energy; 1 hydroelectric power plant (HEPP), 1 steam energy plant, various heat generation and heat recovery systems, and prepared feasibility for 2 green hydrogen production plants’ (100MW+) and their project management plans. Civil / Electromechanical; 3 military projects with 2 Tier-2 Data Centers, 2 hospitals, 5 hotels, 1 exhibition and convention center, 1 metro main station, 3 residential/office complexes. Industrial; 1 iron & steel melting plant, 2 oil & gas/LNG plants, 1 JP4 oil tank farm, 1 wind tunnel project, and various manufacturing workshops.

He has developed a community-based green hydrogen production investment model with his team during the energy management master study: it includes a shareholder scheme with feasibility studies, scenario planning, risk assessment, performance analytics, sustainable energy management, financing, stakeholder collaboration, techno-economic analyses, and overall project management model of such green energy investment projects.  He has since adapted and refined this model for varied climates and regions.

He has core expertise in electromechanical systems project management, including design optimization, energy-saving technologies, and electromechanical solutions with Kaizen-driven improvements for domestic, industrial and energy projects including heat generation, heat recovery, HVAC, BMS, and energy-efficient building technologies.

His has also written articles on future perspectives in international projects: including energy management, sustainability, Kaizen, and leadership,  Capstone project management plan: Energy efficient smart buildings’ project management plan, Design approaches and energy cost analyses: for cooling systems in bulk concrete HEPP dams, Energy savings: absorption cooling energy systems. He has professional affiliations with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) International Member and ASHRAE Member. He holds an MSc in International Energy Management (RBS‑VIU), an MSc in Project Management (RBS‑VIU), a Postgraduate MBA in Business Administration (Durham University), and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (Middle East Technical University, METU), and completed a Certified Leadership Program at Oxford University.
