
Ufuk Alparslan is an energy expert working in the clean energy field. He serves as Regional Lead for Türkiye and the Caucasus at EMBER, a global energy think tank focused on accelerating the clean energy transition through data-driven analysis and policy research. In this role, he leads EMBER’s work on energy policy in the region with a particular focus on wind and solar power, and regularly publishes research and commentary on energy transition developments. His work includes the analysis of Türkiye’s rooftop solar potential, leveraging high-resolution satellite imagery to classify rooftop suitability and estimate technical capacity potential. Prior to joining EMBER in 2021, he worked in various energy trading firms in Istanbul. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Economics.
